Our Love Story

The first chapter of many love stories were written during the pandemic, including ours. We met through social media during the peak of the lockdown and started to exchange messages for hours on end. Hours turned to days, and days turned to weeks until eventually, we decided to finally meet in person. The moment we met, we already knew that there was something special—a "spark", as others would call it. Our courtship started soon after, our feelings growing as each day passed. The day then came when we decided to introduce each other to our loved ones as manliligaw at nililigawan.

Although the restrictions limited our time with each other, the spark we felt at our first meeting grew stronger until it became an unwavering flame. A year after courting, Aaron gathered his courage and bravely asked Maricris to be his girlfriend. We became a couple on the 6th of September in 2021, and God continued to write our beautiful love story.

Two years passed by in the blink of an eye, and the flame we harbored between us stayed ablaze. We held dear to our hearts each moment we were able to spend with each other, and were blessed to know that we had each other’s backs no matter what. Even though we had our own trials and our relationship may be akin to a rollercoaster ride at times, we still chose to remain together and only turned out stronger. Finally, the fateful day had come, and on our second anniversary as a couple, Aaron proposed to Maricris.

At long last, we are now at the cusp of this new chapter of our lives, ready to spend the rest of our days together forever.
