Our Love Story

From Text Buddies to "I Do's": A Love Story with More Plot Twists than a Netflix Drama


Let's face it, most love stories in school probably started in the classroom. Ours? A simple birthday text. Yes, you read that right. Apparently, "Happy Birthday, Jane" was all it took to ignite the flames of passion (or at least a healthy dose of curiosity). Jane, the dazzling Lakambini, was skeptical at first – Bryl, the geeky introvert, messaging you out of the blue? Talk about a plot twist!

For three months, we were text buddies and phone pals, defying the odds (and whispers of "opposites attract") with our late-night conversations. A secret love story blossoming under the radar.

By December 1, 2007, couple shirts with the inscription "My Boyfriend is a Nurse" (talk about a bold proclamation!) sealed the deal. We were officially an item, ready to take on the world... or at least our first real jobs (medical transcriptionist and clerk, because adulthood is rarely glamorous).

Then came 2010. Enter Jawry, our beautiful daughter, and a plot twist worthy of a Netflix Drama. A surprise blessing, she may have been, but our families quickly became her biggest fans. Life, however, wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. Jawry's heart condition and hearing impairment tested our resilience, and let's not forget the financial struggles, some health battles, and the heartbreak of miscarriage.

In 2013, we said "I do" in a civil ceremony – a testament to our commitment amidst the chaos. Jane, ever the superhero, decided to dedicate herself fully to Jawry's care, proving love is more powerful than a dream career (although, who knows, maybe she'll conquer that too someday!).

With faith as our compass, family and friends as our cheerleaders, and Jesus Christ as our rock, we weathered the storms. Now, we're ready to take things to the next level – a church wedding on November 29, 2024. Join us as we celebrate our happily ever after (with maybe a few more plot twists along the way)!

  • Gift Guide

    As love is what the day is all about, your presence is one we can't celebrate without. But should you still believe that a gift is worth giving, a monetary gift for our future would be much appreciated.

  • Attire

    We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse for you to dress up and be fab! There is a color palette to comply with and we highly encourage everyone to dress up appropriately.


    **Strictly: NO slippers, NO Black and White dress, please. THANK YOU!**

  • RSVP

    The last day to accept RSVPs is November 8, 2024.

  • I said "NO" to the RSVP but I had a change of plans-I can attend now! What should I do?

    • Please check with us first. Unfortunately, we have a strict guest list.
    • Kindly inform us if your schedule clears up, so we can try to accommodate you.
    • If seats become available, we will let you know as soon as possible.
    • Please do not attend unannounced, as we may not have any available seats for you.

  • Is there parking space available for my car?

    Yes, there is parking available at the venue.

  • Can we bring our kids to the wedding?

    This is a strict ADULT-ONLY event. As much as we'd love to celebrate with your kids, only those in the entourage and those specifically requested are invited to our wedding.


    We hope you understand and still enjoy the event.

  • How can I help the couple have a great time during their wedding?

    • Pray with us for favorable weather and the continuous blessings of our Lord as we enter this new chapter of our lives as husband and wife.
    • RSVP as soon as your schedule is cleared.
    • Dress appropriately and follow our wedding motif.
    • Be on time.
    • Follow the seating arrangement in the reception.
    • Stay until the end of the program.
    • Join the activities and enjoy!

  • May I invite a "PLUS ONE" to the event?

    As much as we would love to accommodate all our friends and family, we have a limited number of guests.


    Please understand that this event is strictly by invitation only. Kindly check our invitation to know the number of seats allotted for you. Guests not found on the guestlist provided to our coordinator will not be allowed to enter.

  • What if I RSVP'd but cannot attend?

    We would love to have you at our wedding, but we understand that there are circumstances beyond our control. However, please let us know as soon as possible so we can reallocate your seat/s. Give us a toast from afar.



  • Can I sit anywhere at the reception?

    Please don't. It took us a lot of effort and discussion to finish the seating arrangement which is planned for everyone's convenience and network preference, but there is no need to worry! You'll surely be seated with your friends.


    Our coordinators will gladly assist you in finding your designated seat after registration. Feel free to ask them for assistance and they will gladly help you.


  • Am I allowed to take pictures and/or videos during the ceremony?

    We have but one plea, please keep our ceremony camera-free.


    Though our "I Do's may be unplugged, our reception is not. So take as many photos and videos as you want during the party and don't forget to tag us.


    Please keep the aisle clear during the bridal entrance.

  • Do we really need to RSVP? We already said "YES" to the couple.

    Yes, please. We will be needing your formal RSVP to consolidate guest details and finalize the headcount for catering and seating purposes.
