The prelude to our forever

Chrysler and I were previously workmates. Our first interaction is in Tagaytay, as we asked for the expertise of their team in punchlisting the electromechanical components of a sewage treatment plant. I don’t remember much about it, but he always tells me that he vividly remembers me that day. Guess, I’m too precious to forget, haha! I became interested in him after we were invited to an after-Christmas party ganap or in short, inuman session. Back then, I still have the energy of a youth, so I readily accept this kind of invitation. During that time, I saw how he took good care of his friends. Also, plus points because he knows how to play the guitar. So, the following day, I asked one of our workmates about him, but unfortunately, he was taken, so I stopped.

I remembered Anne even before our Tagaytay meet up when she was introduced as one of the newly hired. I only have the courage to converse with her when I tried asking for freediving/ scuba diving tips. I just came out from a breakup and want to dedicate this time to my self-growth. Didn’t know that God has other plans for me. The simple conversation had grown deeper. We jive most of the time, have the same wavelength and humor, which made me realize that I love seeing my future with this girl. Pandemic came, and it tested our relationship not the usual long-distance relationship conflict but with one of my family members being in critical condition brought by Covid-19 virus. We surrender everything to Him, and we came out stronger through His amazing grace.

I proposed to her February 26, 2023, and we are supposed to get married the following year. God, being the author of this love story, ensures us with a purpose-driven life rather than a perfect one. He has given us our precious daughter, Liliana, and we could never be happier. This love story is designed to unfold more beautifully than we imagine. It tells us not to rush things, and through His perfect timing, we’re finally getting married!
