Our Love Story
Dan and Mariah’s story began in the most unexpected place—at work in Teleperformance.
One ordinary day, during a lunch break, Dan was heading out with a friend when he first saw Mariah walking back to her station. It was a simple moment, but something about her caught his attention right away. They didn’t speak much at first, but fate had its way of bringing them closer.
Mariah happened to be friends with a few of Dan’s teammates, and before long, she started spending more time around their area. Somewhere in between casual conversations and shared laughs, a connection quietly began to grow. One small moment stood out—Mariah playfully fixing Dan’s long hair. It was simple, effortless, and somehow, it became the start of everything.
Their first date took them to Robinsons Galleria, and not long after, they went on their first out-of-town trip to Tagaytay—a trip they would never forget.
With Dan still fairly new to riding a motorcycle around Metro Manila, and without the help of navigation apps back then, the journey didn’t exactly go as planned. Riding his Kawasaki Rouser 180, he accidentally entered Cavitex, unaware of the expressway rules. They were eventually stopped by highway patrol and escorted out somewhere in Cavite. It wasn’t the smoothest trip—but it was definitely one of the most memorable. Despite the detour, they made it to Tagaytay that evening, turning what could’ve been a stressful situation into a story they would laugh about for years.
From then on, their relationship grew stronger through shared experiences, challenges, and countless everyday moments. What they built wasn’t just love—it was friendship, understanding, and a sense of home in each other.
When it came time to propose, Dan’s journey reflected their story—real and imperfect, but always full of heart.
The first proposal happened during a family gathering in Leyte. With the ring already in his possession and emotions running high, Dan seized the moment and asked Mariah to marry him. It was spontaneous and sincere, but deep down, he knew it wasn’t the kind of proposal she truly deserved. And Mariah felt the same.
So Dan tried again.
This time, he made sure it was everything it needed to be—thoughtful, intentional, and meaningful. He chose The Purple Owl in Tagaytay, the very place where their love story truly began. With more preparation and his whole heart in it, he asked her once more.
And this time, it was just right.
Now, as they prepare to say “I do,” Dan and Mariah look back on every unexpected turn, every laugh, and every lesson that brought them here.
From a chance encounter at work, to a wrong turn on the road, to finding their way back to where it all started—
their story has always been about choosing each other, every step of the way.
And this is only the beginning.
