Where it all started…

Every love story has a beginning. But theirs started long before they even knew what love meant.

In the quiet streets of Willarey Village, two young children crossed paths. No grand introduction, no dramatic moments, just simple afternoons filled with laughter, games, and innocent friendship. They were just kids —running under the sun, sharing stories, and growing up side by side. Back then, they didn’t know that the playmate they laughed with, would one day become the person they would promise forever to.

Kimberly holds close to her heart the love of her father, Victoriano A. Gamayo, who may no longer be with her today, but whose presence remains deeply woven into their story. It was him who would always allow young Kimberly to spend her afternoons playing with John Ghil. He would patiently accompany her, and even fetch her, just so those simple moments could happen. Even when life led them to different homes, he made sure the connection remained. His quiet way of keeping their story alive never stopped.

As a tricycle driver, whenever John Ghil would become his passenger, he would often let him ride for free —not asking for anything in return, but instead sharing something far more meaningful. He would speak of Kimberly —how she was doing, how she had grown, how she was chasing her dreams. He would tell him life updates like she had graduated with honor, that she had passed the board exam and that she already had become a teacher.

Simple updates, yet pieces of a story that never truly drifted apart.

And only now do they realize — that even in silence, even in distance, someone was keeping them connected.

And so they believe, that he was one of the instruments God used to bring them back to each other. Because sometimes, love stories are not only written by time, but by the people who quietly make sure they never lose their way back home.

Seasons changed.

Years passed.

Childhood memories remained, but their paths slowly separated.

They met new people, faced new challenges, and discovered who they were meant to become. Yet even distance could not erase what destiny had quietly written from the very beginning.
