Our Love Story

Anchored by Grace: The Love Story of Neil and Regiana”
It all began in the most unexpected way—during the quiet, uncertain days of the 2020 pandemic.
Regiana, a dedicated teacher who had never been in a relationship, was living a simple and purposeful life. Love, for her, was something she entrusted fully to God’s timing. Meanwhile, Neil, a seafarer navigating both oceans and life, had also never experienced a serious relationship. Though surrounded by the vastness of the sea, his heart had yet to find a place to anchor.
Their worlds collided through a simple introduction by Neil’s uncle. But what made their story unique was how it truly started—not by Regiana herself, but through a playful twist of fate. Her sister and her sister’s friend, curious and mischievous, began replying to Neil’s messages using her account—without her knowing.
When Regiana eventually discovered the exchange, she was surprised… and shy. At first, she didn’t know what to do. But instead of ending the conversation, she chose to continue it—hesitantly, quietly, and with a heart that was beginning to open in ways she never expected.
From that moment until February 2021, their conversations slowly grew into something deeper. What began as an accidental connection became a genuine friendship. They shared stories, laughter, dreams, and faith—even from a distance.
But life, as it often does, brought challenges. Their communication stopped. Silence replaced their once-daily conversations. It seemed like their story might end before it truly began.
Yet what is meant by God always finds its way back.
In time, their connection was restored. And this time, it was stronger, more intentional, and guided by a deeper understanding of each other. On November 12, 2021, they officially became a couple.
Their journey was not without trials. Distance, responsibilities, and life’s uncertainties tested them. But through it all, they remained faithful—not only to each other, but to God. They chose patience over pressure, prayer over doubt, and growth over comfort.
They built a relationship rooted in Christian values—encouraging one another, lifting each other up, and walking side by side in faith. They didn’t rush love; they nurtured it.
Then came a moment that would change everything.
Before Neil had to return to sea, he made a promise not just with words, but with intention. In May 2025, he asked Regiana to marry him. It was a moment filled with love, certainty, and answered prayers—a culmination of years of waiting, trusting, and believing.
And now, by God’s grace, their story reaches a beautiful new chapter.
On May 16, 2026, Neil and Regiana will stand before the Lord, their families, and each other—to say “I do.”
What started as an accidental message became a divine connection. What grew through distance was strengthened by faith. And what endured through challenges became a love that is steady, patient, and true.
Their love story is not just about finding each other—it’s about trusting God’s perfect timing.
An answered prayer.
A love anchored in faith.
A forever that begins with Him.
