Our Love Story

There are stories that don’t begin with “us.”

Some stories first pass through waiting, wrong timing, and the constant cycle of letting go and finding each other again.

And sometimes, no matter how long it takes… you keep coming back to each other, until the time is  finally right.

This is our story.

It wasn’t easy from the beginning—in fact, it took a long time before there was an “us.”

It all started back in 2016, with a simple admiration as I watched him play basketball. That was the  first time I noticed him, never thinking that such a small moment would become the beginning of something much deeper.

During Simbang Gabi, we had our first real conversation. A simple act of handing him Bench Bath  became the reason everything started. From there, it turned into chats, conversations, and slowly  getting to know each other.

But nothing was ever straightforward. There were times when I could only watch him from a distance —while he was with someone else, while I was the one he confided his problems to, and while I kept trying to understand why we hadn’t met at the right time yet.

He left a few times, and he came back a few times. It felt like we were constantly being tested—no certainty, no confessions… but a connection that never seemed to fade.

Then 2020 came. In the middle of the pandemic, he reached out again and asked for a chance. Even though I hesitated, I chose to give him one. I said yes on February 17, 2021—and that was when our  first “us” began. He became my first boyfriend.

But it didn’t last long. Because of unexpected circumstances, we separated again and continued on our own paths—different relationships and many challenges along the way.

Until we found our way back to each other once more—this time, I was more ready… and we were both more certain.

Even with the distance, even through an LDR, even after all the arguments, breakups, and reconciliations—we never lost the reason why we kept coming back to each other.

Over time, it was no longer just my story.

It became our story.

And on September 23, 2024, we chose each other—without outside opinions, without any obstacles,  just us and the love we chose.

After everything we went through—the wrong timing, the distance, and the countless returns—it all  led us here.



Because in the end, what matters isn’t how long you waited…

but who you’re with when you finally choose forever.

And now, we are certain—it’s still us, at last.

And this time, it’s for a lifetime
