Growing Up Story

As I celebrate my 18th birthday, I look back and realize that my story has never been loud—but it has always been meaningful.

I have always been a quiet and simple person, someone who expresses more through actions than words. Growing up, I found joy in doing my best in school, and I was blessed to consistently become an honor student. Each competition I joined—from district to regional levels—taught me not just how to succeed, but how to stay humble and disciplined. Being recognized as a “Huwarang Bata” was never something I expected, but it reminded me to always carry myself with kindness and good character.

Along the way, I also discovered my love for music. In our church, I found a place where I could serve God through the instruments I learned to play—keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, and violin. I may not always speak much, but through music and prayer, I express my faith and my heart for Him.

I may not be very vocal in showing my love, especially to my parents, but I hope they feel it in my obedience, in my efforts, and in the way I try to live each day. Everything I do comes from a place of gratitude—for their love, guidance, and sacrifices.

Today, I stand here not as someone who has it all figured out, but as someone who is continuously growing. I am thankful to God for the life He has given me, and for making me who I am—a quiet, faithful, and blessed daughter.

And as I step into this new chapter, I carry with me my faith, my dreams, and the hope to keep growing into the person God wants me to be.
